Assessing The Inter-Rater Agreement For Ordinal Data Through Weighted Indexes

In this article, we apply the statistics, which aim to measure the interrealar agreement between observers on ordinal variables, to the evaluation of the quality of university courses. The aim is to measure the agreement between the students and their satisfaction in order to verify the consistency of the judgments issued by independent observers. s is a modification of a previously proposed index that avoids the problem of the paradoxes of Cohen and Fleiss` Kappa statistics. We present the s index, both from a descriptive point of view and from a deductible point of view. In particular with regard to the statistical conclusion, we show that it is a skewed estimate of the Interrater agreement in the population and that is distributed as a normal asymptomatic way according to the zero hypothesis of a random interrater agreement. .
